Glen Park is full of treasures, too many to list here. Perhaps most notable is its canyon that offers places to be quiet and away from the city and serves as a convening spot for countless people to enjoy each other’s company. We now have our newest treasures, the Burnside mural and tiled steps, Elk Street Mural at the entry to Glen Canyon, and our latest visual treat, the painted utility boxes at the Glen Park BART station. A flowered bench has sprouted at Bello Café and Pono just added a lovely planter.
Glen Park Beautiful Launch
There is more to come! Glen Park residents Renee Berger, Beth O’Leary, and Libby Reder have teamed up to create Glen Park Beautiful, an initiative to spark creativity, joy and connection in our neighborhood.
We hope to tap into the incredible talents of Glen Parkers and create new opportunities to experience art, music, dance, and more–together. Everyone is welcome to join the fun and help shape what’s next.
We’re also launching a “beautification lab,” a collaborative space where neighbors can share ideas, learn from one another, and turn their visions for a more beautiful Glen Park into reality.
