Summer Stride kicks off June 1st, and along with numerous special programs, you’ll again have a chance to earn an SFPL prize. All you have to do to get a free limited edition totebag or mini tote, available starting June 14th, is sign up online or in the library and complete the bingo challenge or log 20 hours of reading or learning. And don’t forget to pick up a free book every day you visit the library, while supplies last.
Many of our June programs that require signup are filling up fast, so don’t delay if you’d like to be a part of our Summer Watercolor Group for ages 11-15, Kimchi and Krautchi with June Jo Lee, Mandarin for Beginners 8-week workshop for teens and adults, Build Your Own Fingerboard Skatepark for ages 10-18, and Intro to Natural Dyeing (signups start June 1st).
As always, this update shares a very small sampling of the many programs and experiences you can enjoy free at the library this month. To find out about all the Glen Park Library activities, stop by to pick up an events pamphlet, visit our website, and subscribe to the monthly Glen Park Branch Library newsletter.
On a side note, you may notice my new signoff, Ren. I’ve used this nickname socially for a few years and just started using it at work. Please feel free to call me Darren, Ren, or Fuzzy. Whatever is easiest for you to remember and use.
