City Agency Hearings: SFMTA Feedback Edition!

March 1, 2019 by Heather World

No CAH next week, but this week we have an SFMTA Board hearing on bikeshare outreach (please email suggestions if you can’t make it), no more NRA membership for the SFPD, and a chance to smoke pot at events legally.

The BOS Rules Committee will meet Monday, March 4, 10:00 a.m., in City Hall, room 263. Agenda

The BOS Land Use and Transportation Committee will meet Monday, March 4, 1:30 p.m., in City Hall, room 250. Agenda

The SFMTA Board of Directors will meet Tuesday, March 5, 1 p.m., in City Hall, room 400. See agenda and supporting documents here.

  • A chance to comment on bikeshare outreach, which is sorely needed. You might also ask why they bother with it at all since when they finally do reach the public, the Board will halt a project based on the loudest latest voice in the room, which is why the bikeshare location at Randall has now been halted despite having far more public support than opposition.

The Board of Supervisors will meet Tuesday, March 5, 2 p.m., in City Hall, room 250. Agenda

The Park, Recreation and Open Space Advisory Committee will meet Tuesday, March 5, 6:30 p.m., at McLaren Lodge, 501 Stanyan St. Agenda

The BOS Budget and Finance Subcommittee will meet Wednesday, March 6, 10 a.m., in City Hall, room 250. Agenda

The Architectural Review Committee will meet Wednesday, March 6, 11:30 a.m., in City Hall, room 400. Agenda

The Historic Preservation Commission will meet Wednesday, March 6, 12:30 p.m., in City Hall, room 400. Agenda

The Recreation and Park Commission Capital Committee will meet Wednesday, March 6, 2 p.m., in City Hall, room 416. Agenda

The Board of Appeals meets Wednesday, March 6, 5 p.m., in City Hall, room 416. Agenda

The BOS Government Audit and Oversight Committee will meet Thursday, March 7, 10 a.m.,in City Hall, room 250. Agenda

The BOS Public Safety and Neighborhood Services Committee will have a special meeting Thursday, March 7, at 12 p.m., in City Hall, room 250. Agenda

The Planning Commission will meet Thursday, March 7, 1 p.m., in City Hall, room 400. Agenda was not up by the time I had to go. This link should take you to it though. For all I know it’s filled with Glen Park stuff.

The SFMTA Citizens Advisory Council will meet Thursday, March 7, 5:30 p.m., at 1 S. Van Ness Ave., 7th fl. See agenda and supporting documents here.

  • Meaty agenda: The state of transit (very informative link, in my opinion. Go Julie K!), service dogs on MUNI and changing the 55.

The SFMTA Engineering Hearing happens Friday, March 8, 10 a.m., in City Hall, room 416. Agenda

Congratulations to Sunnyside Elementary School for being awarded with a Glen Park Association Community Grant!
With that grant they were able to print a copy of The Ray for every student and staff at Sunnyside. The Ray, the school’s art and literary journal has been in publication for 17+ years.
🎥 This year’s theme is FILM, and students wrote scripts, designed movie posters, and painted Hollywood stars.
⭐️Glen Park Library, 2825 Diamond Street, features STARS made by Kindergarten classes, depicting their own Hollywood Walk of Fame.

See this and other student artwork from The Ray around Glen Park throughout the summer!
