City Agency Hearings – City College edition!

May 3, 2019 by Heather World

On Friday, the BOS will hear about the cuts to City College classes, which seems like it could be heated. For disappointment, turn to the MUNI Forward report to the SFMTA Board of Directors Tuesay. No improvements to the J any time soon, alas. Finally, the Supes are proposing half of all future Education Revenue Augmentation Fund (ERAF) funds go to buying/building 100% affordable housing in SF.

The BOS Rules Committee will meet Monday, May 6, 10:00 a.m., in City Hall, room 263. Agenda

The BOS Land Use and Transportation Committee will meet Monday, May 6, 1:30 p.m., in City Hall, room 250. Agenda

The SFMTA Policy and Governance Committee will meet Tuesday, May 7, 10 a.m., at 1 S. Van Ness Ave., 7th floor.  No agenda posted by my deadline, but you can check here.

The SFMTA Board of Directors will meet Tuesday, May 7, 1 p.m., in City Hall, room 400. See agenda and supporting documents here.

  • Presentation and discussion regarding Muni Forward projects. (Explanatory slide presentation) Apparently they’ll be starting outreach around improving the J in “the coming year.” There was no data in the slideshow about how the existing MUNI Forward changes have improved travel time, sadly.
  • Reading the 4/16 minutes, many people came out in support of Scoot scooters

The Board of Supervisors will meet Tuesday, May 7, 2 p.m., in City Hall, room 250. Agenda

  • They’re buying two new buildings to house the Hall of Justice

The Park, Recreation and Open Space Advisory Committee will meet Tuesday, May 7, 6:30 p.m., at McLaren Lodge, 501 Stanyan St. Agenda

The BOS Budget and Finance Subcommittee will meet Wednesday, May 8, 10 a.m., in City Hall, room 250. Agenda

The BOS Budget and Finance Committee will meet Wednesday, May 8, 1 p.m., in City Hall, room 250. Agenda

The Board of Appeals meets Wednesday, May 8, 5 p.m., in City Hall, room 416. Agenda

The SFMTA Interdepartmental Staff Committee on Traffic and Transportation (ISCOTT) will meet Thursday, May 9, 9 a.m., at 1 S. Van Ness Ave., 7th floor. Agenda.

The BOS Public Safety and Neighborhood Services Committee will meet Thursday, May 9, 10 a.m, in City Hall, room 263. Agenda

The BOS Joint City, School District, and City College Select Committee will meet Friday, May 10, 10 a.m., in City Hall, room 250. Agenda

  • Only item is a hearing on the proposed cuts and changes to classes at City College.
