Be a Neighborhood Hero this Halloween and volunteer to work a 90-minute shift at one of nine intersections along Haunted Chenery!
It’s a great way to give back to Glen Park while watching a parade of joy and goofiness. The street closure starts at 5 p.m. as we set up barricades and welcome trick-or-treaters. Things should be closed and safe for little goblins from 5 to 9 p.m., and then we start packing it in. The breakdown shift may end up being shorter, depending on when your barricades are picked up.
This is the fifth time the Glen Park Association has been able to secure all the necessary trappings to close the quarter mile stretch of Chenery west of Diamond so that trick-or-treaters can fill their bags with candy safely. We can’t do it without you!
Many hands make light work, so please consider signing up for a shift: text your interest to Mike at 415-203-9410 or express your interest by adding your information to this spreadsheet or email us at info@glenparkassociation.org with your interest and we’ll add your name.
Another costume idea: horrified dentist
We also need donations of Halloween candy. There is A LOT of candy that goes out the door that night. Our generous neighbors on Chenery greatly appreciate any candy donations. Please drop them off with Tony at Critter Fritters at 670 Chenery Street.
