11:29pm Chenery/Charles Drugs
Officers Colby and Officer Morse were on patrol and driving along
Randall Street, when they both noticed a Black Dodge Magnum commit a
traffic violation. The officers conducted a traffic enforcement stop
and asked the driver for his California driver’s license Officer Colby
did a computer record check which showed the driver to be on active
probation with a search condition. Officer Colby then approached the
subject asking him to exit his vehicle. Officer Morse proceeded to
search the driver and found a metal tin containing methamphetamine
inside. The driver was immediately arrested, the drugs seized and his
vehicle towed. Report number: 130760605

12:00pm 5200 Blk Diamond Heights Assault
Officers Morgante, Aslam and Walsh were on duty patrolling the Diamond
Heights shopping center, when they were flagged down by security
Officer Jones, a San Francisco Patrol Special, who was in hot pursuit
of a shoplifter. This incident involves a female, who was caught
inside Safeway placing items into her purse consisting of a small
bottle of Clorox Bleach, yogurts, beverages as well as a cup of soup
from the deli counter. The female suspect ran from the store when
confronted by the security officer. The officers were alerted of the
theft and joined in on the foot chase. The officers managed to catch
up to the subject, who then resisted arrest by kicking, screaming and
even attempting to bite one of the officers. After a brief struggle,
the suspect was taken into custody. While at the scene, the suspect
complained of pain to her chest and an ambulance was quickly summoned
to the scene where she was transported to the local hospital for
treatment. She was eventually booked at county jail for the theft,
possession of stolen property and resisting. The officers collected
the stolen items as evidence and booked them in as evidence at
Ingleside Station. Report number 130762435

3:56am Miguel/Arlington Stolen Vehicle
Ingleside Officers Hauscarriague and Cariffe were on routine patrol
when they noticed something odd about a 2013 Ford van parked along
Mission Street. The license plate did not have the “month” expiration
sticker. Before they could investigate further, the officers were
dispatched to an urgent call in the district. After completing that
assignment, they went back to the Mission Street address just in time
to see the van pulling out of the parking spot. They followed it a
short distance before pulling it over on Miguel near Arlington
Streets. Officer Cariffe approached the vehicle and asked the driver
for his license. The driver admitted he didn’t have one. While Cariffe
was talking to the driver, Officer Hauscarriague ran a computer check
on the van, which showed it had been stolen and the vehicle’s license
plate belonged to another car. Officer Hauscarriague then called for
backup and both he and officer Cariffe ordered the driver and two
occupants out of the vehicle at gunpoint. Numerous Ingleside units
soon arrived and helped handcuff all the occupants. The driver had a
“shaved key” used to steal cars in his pocket. He was also on
probation from San Mateo County and had an outstanding warrant for
auto theft from Contra Costa County. The woman passenger was also
wanted for an outstanding warrant for a probation violation out of San
Mateo County. Both the driver and the woman passenger were transported
to Ingleside station and booked on several charges. The other male
passenger had no record and was released at the scene. Case number:

9:00pm Bosworth/Lyell Theft from Vehicle

Wednesday, September 25th, 2013

11:00am Lyell/Still Drugs
A high priority call was received through dispatch of an auto boosting
in progress that was taking place in the area of Lyell and Still
Street. Officer Rand was given a description of the suspect and
quickly responded to the area. He soon arrived and found that seven
cars that had been parked along the street had their windows
shattered. He and several Ingleside units continued their search in
hopes of finding the suspect. Officer Rand drove around and found a
suspect matching the suspect description two blocks away sitting at
the MUNI bus stop, located at Bosworth and Diamond Street. He quickly
detained the suspect and began asking him questions. During the
interview, the suspect’s story changed several times which made
Officer Rand very suspicious. Officer Rand then had the suspect empty
out his pockets and found that he was carrying a window punch and
several different cards with different names on them as well as a
woman’s watch. Officer Rand knows that suspect(s) use a window punch
to easily break into cars to boost them. A quick check on the vehicles
revealed that the owners were not local, therefore couldn’t ascertain
if anything was missing. Officer Rand also checked the cards which did
not belong to any of the registered owners. The suspect was then taken
to Ingleside Station and searched more thoroughly, where Heroin and a
smoking pipe were found inside his pockets. He was subsequently booked
on the drug and paraphernalia offense as well as being in possession
of burglary tools. Report Number: 130807843
