Thursday February 16

 

2:15pm unit blk Chenery Theft

Police Services Aide Flynn prepared a report regarding a theft. The victim came to the station and told the PSA that while in the restroom she left her phone in a stall and exited to wash her hands. While she was washing her hands a suspect walked in and got into the same stall. The victim asked the suspect to return the phone but was told that there was no phone there. The suspect came out of the stall and the victim asked again. The suspect replied that she did not have the phone and then left the restroom without washing her hands! Report number 120132569

Saturday February 18

9:00pm   111 Richland Vandalism

Officers Conceicao and Curry were sent to investigate a vandalism case. the officers were told by the victim that he closed his business last night and when he returned he discovered that an unknown suspect had broken the front window to the business. Report number 120136834

Wednesday February 22

7:26pm       Monterey/Circular        False Registration

Officers Peregrina and Hom were on patrol when a car driving erratically drew their attention.  A DMV record check of the license plate returned with expired registration yet the tabs on the vehicle showed the registration to be current.  The officers effected a traffic stop and the driver was unable to provide any form of identification.  He provided the officers with his name and a record check revealed he was on parole, had an active no bail warrant and no current license.

The officers confirmed the suspect’s identity through the SFPD Mug Shot System at Ingleside station and were able to confirm the warrant. The suspect was booked for the false tabs and the warrant.  Report Number 120150226 This is the ****Best Arrest of the Day****

 

Thursday February 23

6:10pm       100 Blk Kern                Theft

Officers Hom and Cassinelli were sent to investigate an auto boost.   They met with the victim who told them that she parked and secured her vehicle and when she returned found a window smashed and several items missing.  She was unable to provide any further information and the officers provided her with follow up information.  The officers processed the vehicle for any visible latent prints to no avail.  Report Number 120153101

2:53pm          Monterey/Diamond            Traffic Collision

Monday February 27

4:15pm       5200 Blk Diamond Hts Petty Theft

Officers Kerlegan and Peregrina were dispatched to a shoplifting call. They met with the reportee who advised that he observed a male enter the store, conceal various items in his coat and exit the store without attempting to pay for any of the items.  The reportee detained the suspect and escorted him back into the store.  He signed a citizen’s arrest to have the suspect arrested and was provided with follow up information.  The suspect was transported to Ingleside station pending further investigation.  A record check revealed an outstanding warrant and various prior arrests for petty theft.  He was booked into custody upon confirmation of the warrant.

Tuesday February 28

9:21am       Unit Blk Richland        Burglary

Officers Araujo and LaRocca responded to a trespassing call.  They met with the victim in front of the address and he told the officers he was upstairs in his home when he heard footsteps downstairs.  He went downstairs and heard the suspect run out the rear door of his home.  The victim said he had locked and secured the door and it was now open.  The victim said he locked the door after he called the police and did not get a look at who may have been inside the home.  He said that nothing appeared to be disturbed or missing.  The officers took pictures of the scene and provided him with follow up information.  Due to the lack of physical evidence, and the fact that the victim had already touched the rear door where the suspect may have entered, SFPD’s Crime Scene Investigations Unit was not notified.  Report Number 120165623
