07:50 am, 400 blk Hearst, Vandalism to Vehicle
A victim responded to Ingleside Station and told PSA Heckenberg-Tognozzi that her vehicle had been vandalized. The victim stated that this is the second occurrence in less than a month. The victim did not believe the vandalism was random. Report number 110013195

Thursday, January 6, 2011
4:46 am, Unit blk 30th Street, Burglary
Officer Baldovino was sent to investigate a burglary incident. The officer responded and located the witness that had called. The witness told the officer that he was at home and suddenly heard loud pounding outside. The witness told the officer that he went to investigate and saw a car pulled across the crosswalk. The witness called the police. The witness told the officer that he yelled down at the subject. The subject looked u at the witness, got into the car and sped off. The witness got the plate of the car and gave it to the officer. With this information the vehicle was located and towed (wouldn’t you know it was stolen?). Report number 110016462

8:27 am, 600 blk Bosworth, Battery
Officer Morgante was sent to investigate a battery case. The victim told the officer that she had just surfaced from the BART station and was waiting for her friend to pick her up. The victim told the officer that an unknown suspect walked up to her and punched her on the face for no reason. The victim said that as she turned in an attempt to flee the suspect, she hit her knee on a cement light post. The victim may be able to recognize the suspect if seen again. Report number 110017125

Friday, January 7, to Monday, January 10, 2011
The following reports are from last 4 days and not in date order

9:40 pm, San Jose/I280, Carrying Weapon
Officers Robinson and Paras were on patrol when they noticed a car pulling out of a lot. The car had no front plate attached. The officers pulled the car over and discovered that the driver had a suspended license. The officers were conducting an inventory search when they found a gun and drugs in the car. The driver was arrested and booked. Report number 110028003

12:00 am, 5200 blk Diamond, Fraud
Officer Giannini was sent to investigate a fraud case. The victim told the officer that she discovered that someone had two charges on her bank account for over $2200. Report number 110020128

12:01 am, Arlington/Charles, Theft from Auto
Police Services Aide Flynn prepared a report regarding a theft from an auto. The victim told the PSA that she parked and locked her car only to discover that an unknown suspect tampered with a window and removed the property that was visible within the cab of the car. The loss was $500 in property. No suspects were observed. Report number 110021308

2:30 pm, Diamond St, Fraud
Police Services Aide Heckenberg-Tognozzi prepared a report regarding a fraud case. The victim told the PSA that she called to report her ATM card stolen only to discover that someone had already used the card. Report number 110020651

7:17 pm, Congo/Hearst, Purse Snatch
Officers Gomez and Lim were sent to investigate a purse snatch case. The victim told the officers that she noticed a black, car as she was walking home, following her. The victim told the officers that the car passed by her as she continued to walk. The victim turned off Monterey onto Congo and saw the black car had parked half way up the block. The next thing she knew the suspect jumped out of the car and took her purse off her shoulder and got back into the car and fled. The victim was not injured. Report number 110027726

1:00 am, 200 blk Congo, Stolen Auto

3:20 am, 100 blk Bemis, Recovered Auto

5:13 am, Bosworth/Diamond, Traffic Accident

4:55 pm, Kern/Diamond, Traffic Accident

10:00 pm, San Jose/Monterey, Traffic Accident
