Officers Rueca and Gallo went to meet with a victim of a robbery that had occurred minutes earlier. The young victim said he was walking in the area of Laidley and 30th Street when he was approached by two unknown suspects. The suspects demanded the victim’s property and began searching through his pockets. The victim quickly stepped back but one of the suspects pulled out a gun from his waist band and pointed it at him. The second suspect continued to search the pockets taking the victim’s Iphone. Both suspects then fled the scene running Eastbound on 30th Street. The victim gave chase and tackled the suspect that took his phone. A struggle ensued where the victim was overpowered and was punched several times. The suspect got to his feet and continued to make his get-a-way, but leaving behind his baseball hat. The victim sustained a cut to his mouth and a bump to his head as a result of the robbery. Medics were requested, but the victim refused to be transported. The hat was collected as evidence. 11:20pm               Diamond/Bosworth                    Assault
A report of a violent attack near the Glen Park BART station brought several Ingleside officers to the scene. Officer Ma was the first to arrive and he found the victim with injuries to her head, hand, and left knee. As other Ingleside officers arrived, the victim told Officer Ma that she was standing next to the BART station agent booth when a man approached her and asked for a cigarette. When she told him she didn’t have one, he yelled an epithet at her and walked away.  The victim then told the BART station agent about what happened and asked him to keep an eye out for the suspect. A few minutes later, the suspect returned and asked the victim for some money so he could pay his BART fare. The victim did not respond to the suspect and instead she began walking toward the MUNI bus stop as her bus approached. The suspect then followed her to the bus stop and proceeded to confront her. When she ignored the suspect, he started attacking her, wrestling her to the ground, punching her, kicking her, pulling her hair, and biting her hand so severely that it broke her skin. The victim told officers she was kicked three of four times in the head and face and punched 10 to 12 times. She said she did not lose consciousness during the assault. Two witnesses on the approaching MUNI bus saw the victim being attacked and one of them dialed 911. Arriving officers, after calling for medical assistance, started searching the area for the suspect. They soon found him walking a few blocks away and ordered him to stop. He, instead, began running away and was caught after a brief chase. He was brought back to the scene of the attack where the victim and both witnesses positively identified him as the suspect who assaulted the young woman. He was taken into custody and the victim was transported to the hospital for treatment of her injuries. Report number: 130620134
