News Flash: The Burnside Mural/Steps will be the backdrop for a major press event this Tuesday, July 15th at 10:30am, announcing DPW’s Love Our Neighborhood (LON) permit, which is designed to make the process for murals, tiled stairways, and similar projects easier, faster, and less expensive.
Burnside’s tiled steps was the first project to go through LON. The event will be attended by Mayor Lurie, DPW director Carla Short, Supervisors Mandelman and Melgar, who played key roles in developing and the passing of the legislation for the new permit, and who will deliver brief remarks.
