S/B Ocean Ave Offramp Closures

July 18, 2016 by Heather World

Forwarded from NextDoor, which forwarded from Westwood Park Association, which forwarded from SFMTA. If you have comments or questions, please contact Cristina Padilla of SFMTA, whose information is at the bottom of her message.
——————-
I am reaching out from the SFMTA to inform you about some upcoming construction impacts as part of the Balboa Park Station Area and Plaza Improvements project.

To improve pedestrian safety, the I-280 Southbound off-ramp on Ocean Avenue will be closed from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. on the following nights:
· Thursday, July 21
· Monday, July 25
· Wednesday, August 3
· Thursday, August 4

To exit the highway, vehicles can keep left and use the Geneva Avenue off-ramp (detour graphic below).

We are placing detour signs to direct vehicles back to Ocean Avenue, in addition to notifying community groups, neighborhood associations and the 172 community members who have subscribed to our project because to receive regular updates and impacts.

The scope of work includes the installation of streetlight conduit, a flashing beacon system, street base reconstruction and grinding and paving to improve pedestrian safety by warning oncoming vehicles of pedestrians crossing.

Please let me know if you have any questions.
