Hi Glen Park!
My name is Heather Schneider, and I’m the owner of Goose & Co. Grooming, a new boutique dog grooming studio opening May 15 at 667 Chenery Street.
The idea for Goose & Co. started with my own dog, Goose, who struggled with both skin allergies and the loud, rushed, high-stress grooming environments that so many dogs experience. Through that journey, I became deeply interested in skin and coat wellness and realized there had to be a better way, something calmer, more thoughtful, and centered around the wellbeing of the dogs themselves.
Goose & Co. is being designed to feel less like a traditional grooming shop and more like a welcoming neighborhood space. Our focus is on gentle handling, skin and coat health, low-stress grooming practices, and creating a calmer experience for both dogs and their humans. We’ll also be offering skin and coat consultations for dogs dealing with sensitivities, allergies, and other common coat concerns.
We’re building a space that feels warm, approachable, and community-oriented, because we believe grooming can be both high quality and genuinely kind.
As we get settled into Glen Park, we’re also excited to host community pop-ups, neighborhood dog events, and casual gatherings that bring local dog lovers together. We’re especially looking forward to participating in Glen Park’s summer night markets and becoming part of the neighborhood’s growing small business community.
Opening a small business in San Francisco can feel a little intimidating these days, which makes the warmth and support from Glen Park already feel incredibly special. We’re so excited to join the neighborhood and can’t wait to meet all of you, and of course, your dogs.
