Bernal Cut Newsletter

August 1, 2020 by Sophie Constantinou

GP blog editor’s note: some day we will figure out how to post this newsletter so it looks as lovely as it does when it arrives in an email inbox. Until then just note that the wonky formatting is from the transfer of information and not by design.

ACTIVITIES FOR AUGUST 2020
RESUME THE SUNDAY ZOOM
Welcome to the new subscribers! This newsletter serves to connect neighbors of the Bernal Cut on both Bernal and Glen Park sides of San Jose Ave.  Coming together to improve the conditions around our homes, streets and open spaces.
UPCOMING DATES IN AUGUST

Zoom meetings resume in August, now every other Sunday at 10am.  This Sunday 8/2/20 we have Sgt O’Bannon confirmed.  8/16/20 I’ve invited Daniel Homsey from Neighborhood Empowerment Network.

Third Saturday Workday falls on August 15th.

SF SAFE will conduct its second workshop on August 20th at 4pm.  I will suggest meeting on Zoom since last time it was hard to hear with social distancing and masks.

HOW TO JOIN THE ZOOM:

Join Zoom Meeting https://us02web.zoom.us/j/88660389079
Meeting ID: 886 6038 9079
One tap mobile +16699006833,,88660389079# US (San Jose)
Currently there are 10 solar lights along the Bernal Cut Path from St Marys Ave to the top curve of College Ave.  These are represented as dark icons on map (not to scale).

Our funding through the Community Challenge Grant includes 15-20 more lights. These are represented by lighter grey icons on map.  The proposed locations would add 1-2 additional lights at the start of the path. 3 new lights in the triangle along the path, opposite the existing lights.  9-10 between College Ave and Richland Ave. 4-5 new lights between Richland Ave and Park Street.

Please share your thoughts via email or at the Sunday Zoom.

IF YOU HAVEN’T DONE IT YET, PLEASE COMPLETE THIS SHORT SURVEY TO HELP IDENTIFY OUR LOCAL PROBLEM AREAS.
Please feel free to share, add subscribers or unsubscribe here!
See you on the Cut!
