We have a new permanent Glen Park Branch librarian! Elizabeth Perez has been on the job since May. She comes to us with extensive experience with the SF public library system–she was at the Main Library for 10 years and at the Mission branch for two years before that. Most recently she was the branch librarian for one year at the Portola branch. She obtained her master’s degree in Library Science from San Jose State University.
One of her goals in taking over the role of branch librarian is to do more outreach in the Glen Park community–such as going to the neighborhood schools and the rec center. “I like discovering things for myself,” she says.
