City Agency Hearings + Mandelman Legislation

The Transportation Authority Board will meet Tuesday, November 13, 10 a.m., in City Hall, room 250. See agenda here.

The Board of Supervisors will meet Tuesday, November 13, 2 p.m., in City Hall, room 250. See agenda here.

The SFMTA Pedestrian Safety Advisory Committee will meet Tuesday, November 13, 6 p.m., in City Hall, room 400. See agenda here.

The Park, Recreation and Open Space Advisory Committee will meet Tuesday, November 13, 6:30 p.m., at McLaren Lodge, 501 Stanyan St. See agenda here.

The Board of Appeals will meet Wednesday, November 14, 5 p.m., in City Hall, room 416. See agenda here.

  • (6) APPEAL NO. 18-129 WILLIAM HICKS, JOSEPH SOBIESIAK & CHRISTOPHER ESPOSITO, Appellant(s) vs. SAN FRANCISCO PUBLIC WORKS BUREAU OF URBAN FORESTRY, Respondent 42 Lippard Avenue. Appealing the ISSUANCE on September 21, 2018, of a Public Works Order (DENIAL of request to remove one significant ash tree without replacement on private property). ORDER NO. 188444. There will be a Spin Scooter Permit Appeal hearing Thursday, November 15, 12:30 p.m., at 1455 Market Street. See notice here.

The Planning Commission will meet Thursday, November 15, 1 p.m., in City Hall, room 400. Link to supporting documents here. There was no agenda up by the time I had to leave the house, but I looked through all supporting docs and saw nothing for GP.

MANDELMAN LEGISLATION

    Ordinance amending the Police Code to extend by one year the possible duration of a Temporary Cannabis Business Permit; and amending the Health Code to increase, from 90 days to 120 days, the time period that the Director of the Office of Cannabis may extend a medical cannabis dispensary’s authorization to sell adult use cannabis, and extending by one year to December 31, 2019, the date on which Article 33 (Medical Cannabis Act) expires. 10/30/2018; PASSED ON FIRST READING. Question: Shall this Ordinance be FINALLY PASSED?

    Resolution retroactively authorizing the Department of Public Health to accept and expend a grant in the amount of $800,000 from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration to participate in a program, entitled “BEAM UP: A Comprehensive Stepped Early Intervention Services Program for Youth and Youth Adult at Clinical High Risk,” for the two-year budget period of September 30, 2018, through September 29, 2020. (Public Health Department) 10/30/18; RECEIVED AND ASSIGNED to the Budget and Finance Committee.
