City Agency Hearings + Sheehy Legislation

  • The Recreation and Park Commission Operations Committee meets Thursday, February 1, 2 p.m., City Hall, room 416. No agenda yet because they don’t seem to get their act together in time. Visit here 72 hours before the meeting because that’s when they’re supposed to have the agenda up.
  • The Planning Commission meets Thursday, February 1, 1 p.m., in City Hall, room 400. See full agenda here when they finally get around to publishing it. Supporting docs are available now. Nothing in GP.
  • The SFMTA Engineering Public Hearing happens Friday, February 2, 10 a.m., in City Hall, room 416. See full agenda here.

Resolution authorizing the Director of the Real Estate Department to negotiate with the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) for the purpose executing purchase and sale or lease agreements to provide homeless services on Caltrans property to protect the health safety and welfare of people experiencing homelessness.

Ordinance authorizing Public Works, the Department of Homelessness and Supportive Housing, and the Department of Public Health to enter into contracts without adhering to the Administrative Code or Environment Code provisions regarding competitive bidding and other requirements for construction work, procurement, and personal services relating to identified Shelter Crisis Sites (1601 Quesada Avenue; 149-6th Street; 125 Bayshore Boulevard; 13th Street and South Van Ness Avenue, southwest corner; 5th Street and Bryant Street, northwest corner; Caltrans Emergency Shelter Properties; and existing City Navigation Centers and Shelters) that will provide emergency shelter or transitional housing to persons experiencing homelessness; authorizing the Director of Property to enter into and amend leases or licenses for the Shelter Crisis Sites without adherence to certain provisions of the Administrative Code; authorizing the Director of Public Works to add sites to the list of Shelter Crisis Sites subject to expedited processing, procurement, and leasing upon written notice to the Board of Supervisors, and compliance with conditions relating to environmental review and neighborhood notice; affirming the Planning Department’s determination under the California Environmental Quality Act; and making findings of consistency with the General Plan, and the eight priority policies of Planning Code, Section 101.1. (Fiscal Impact)

ArtwalkSF in Glen Park is happening this Saturday October 7
To facilitate the smooth execution of the event, we have made arrangements to close Diamond Street from Chenery to Bosworth, with no traffic permitted on the street during the closure.
Additionally, a portion of Wilder Street, from Diamond to just beyond the Canyon Market lot, will been closed.
Kern Alley and the Kern Alley lot are also closed to accommodate participants.
Please take note of these TOW AWAY, NO STOPPING signs.
Street Closure will be enforced Saturday

The Glen Park Association is proud to host a Storytime with Children with Glen Park’s children author, Meredith Steiner at 2pm.
Steiner, the Children’s librarian at West Portal Branch Library, will be reading from books including her own ‘Just Like You’, a rhyming story celebrating diversity.
