City Agency Hearings + Sheehy Legislation

September 1, 2017 by Heather World

The SFMTA Board of Directors meets Tuesday, September 5, at 1 p.m. in City Hall, room 400. Click here for full agenda.

Nothing specific to Glen Park, but three items of interest:

  • Many neighbors on NextDoor expressed concern about outreach around bike share. Please note this will be discussed in the Director’s Report.
  • Many neighbors have complained about the state of MUNI elevators and escalators, so item 10.3 might be of interest:
Authorizing the Director to execute Master Service Agreements with Kone, Schindler Elevator and ThyssenKrupp Elevator for the maintenance of elevators and escalators in the Muni Metro System and at various facilities, each in an amount not to exceed $5,000,000 for a term of five years from September 15, 2017 through September 14, 2022. (Explanatory documents include a staff report, resolution and agreements. The proposed actions are the Approval Actions as defined by S.F. Administrative Code Chapter 31)
  • 11. Presentation and discussion regarding SFMTA’s citywide demand-responsive parking pricing
project. (Click here to see slide presentation.)

The SF Planning Commission meets Thursday, September 7, at 1 p.m. in City Hall, room 400. Agenda unavailable at press time, but supporting documents show nothing directly related to Glen Park. But for fun, do check out the public comment on various housing proposals here and here.

Staff will update the Commission about changes to Transportation Impact Analysis Guidelines at the September 28 meeting. Click here for a summary of what this means. Some of the changes pertain to the flow of vehicular traffic and how important that is when making traffic changes.

The Recreation and Parks Commission meetings have no agendas up at press time, but schedule is

  • Capitol Committee meeting Wednesday, September 6, from 2 to 4 p.m. in City Hall, room 416
  • Operations Committee meeting Thursday, September 7, from 2 to 6 p.m. in City Hall, room 416
  • Full Commission meeting Thursday, September 21, at 10 a.m. in City Hall, room 416
