Crime report April 1 – 7, 2011

The following are Glen Park crimes from the Ingleside Station Newsletter

Friday April 1, 2011
4:38 pm, 2900 blk Diamond, Robbery/Gun
Officer Archilla responded to investigate a robbery. The victim told the officer that she called a friend and told her that she was interested in purchasing a gun. The friend agreed to help her. The victim arrived on BART and met with her friend, who led her to a waiting car. Once in the car, the friend turned into the suspect and put a gun to the victims head. The suspect said that she wanted everything. The victim feared for her life and gave the suspect $600 that she had brought with her to purchase a gun. The victim was not injured and told officers that she can identify the suspect. Report number 110266203

7:30 pm, 900 blk Chenery, Vandalism Officer Morgante was sent to investigate a vandalism case. The victim told the officer that a small statue that has been in the front of the establishment was broken. The victim did not see anyone do it and does not have any enemies. Report number 110267706

7:34 pm, 800 blk Bosworth, Recovered Plates

8:00 pm, 800 blk Bosworth, Stolen Plates

Saturday, April 2nd, 2011
2:00 pm, 2900 Block Diamond, Theft
Officers Guzman and Chan were dispatched to a call of a theft. They met with the victim who told them he parked and secured his bicycle and when he returned it was missing. The victim advised that a security camera had recorded the incident. The officers viewed the video which showed a suspect removing the bicycle and riding away. The suspect later returned and left parts of the bicycle which the victim placed into a storage area as evidence. The officers returned to Ingleside station which the evidence and were able to recover a finger print from a portion of the bicycle frame. They booked the fingerprint into evidence. 10:14 pm, Unit Block Chenery, Burglary
Officers Gomez and Hom responded to an alarm and met with a security guard. They observed a broken window in one of the rooms and took pictures of the damage to the building. It was uncertain if any items had been taken from the premise. Report number 110256963.

6:30 pm, 300 blk Laidley, Stolen License Plate

Sunday, April 3, 2011
10:15 am, Unit blk Arlington, Recovered Vehicle

Monday, April 4, 2011
8:00 am, 800 Block Bosworth, Vehicle Vandalism
Victim came to Ingleside Police Station to report vandalism to his vehicle. He stated he parked and secured her vehicle and when he returned noticed scratches all over the vehicle. There was no further information regarding any witnesses or suspects. Report number 110277567.

Tuesday, April 5th, 2011
No incidents reported in GP.

Wednesday, April 6, 2011
5:00pm, Bosworth/O’Shaughnessy, Vandalism
A victim reported that the rear driver side window on his vehicle had been shattered by what appeared to be pellets, possibly from a BB gun. Nothing was taken from the vehicle. There were no suspects located in this incident and no witnesses. Report 116044120

5:30pm, 5200 Blk Diamond Heights, Theft
A victim reported that the rear passenger window of his vehicle had been shattered and that several items were taken. There were no witnesses to this incident and no known suspects. Report 116044144

Thursday, April 7, 2011
Not officially Glen Park but beware!
3:30pm, 30th/Dolores St, Fraudulent Trick
PSA Flynn took a counter report regarding a fraudulent trick. The victim stated he was approached by two suspects who told them that they had won the lottery. The female suspect told the victim that she was not a citizen and therefore could not cash the winning ticket in. She told him that if he cashed the ticket in for her, she would give him a portion of the winnings. The male suspect suggested that each of them put up $15,000 as a good faith gesture and that they would all share in the overall winnings. The victim told them that he could not get that much. The victim went to a bank and withdrew $1,000, which he gave to the female suspect. The suspects then drove the victim to the store so he could buy stamps to mail in the lottery ticket. The suspects waited outside in the car. When the victim emerged, the suspects were gone. Report 110284374
