Crime Report Oct 12 – 21, 2011

The following are Glen Park crimes from the Ingleside Station newsletter:

Wednesday October 12

10:00am     200 blk Fairmont                   Theft/Trick

Officer Lee prepared a report regarding a theft by trick. The victim was contacted by phone and told that the caller was a representative of her bank. The caller told her that they were watching two employees that were stealing money out of her account. She was asked to come down to the bank and withdraw $6000 for her account that had been set up with bank money so she would be withdrawing bank money. The callers insisted she come down to the bank and take the money and go to her car where a bank employee would retrieve the $6000 from her. This was done two days in a row for a total of $11000. The case is still under investigation. Report number 110822974 ****SPECIAL ATTENTION****

Thursday October 13

4:06pm       400 blk Laidley             Burglary

Civilian Police services Aide Callaghan prepared a report regarding a burglary. The victim told that CPSA that an unknown suspect had gained entry and removed property from the premise.  Because there is video this case is still under investigation. Report number 110824908

Friday October 14 – Nothing in the report from Glen Park

Saturday October 15

9:29pm                Unit Blk Wilder St                 Robbery

Officers Cassinelli and Almaguer responded to a report of a robbery.  The victim was walking when two suspects came up behind her.  One suspect then stepped in front of the victim and punched her in the stomach.  The victim fell to the ground.  The second suspect reached into the victim’s pocket and took her money and ID.    The suspects fled.  The victim did not require medical treatment.  Report 110833012

Sunday October 16 – Nothing in the report from Glen Park

Monday October 17

2:00pm                Unit Blk Monterey Ave         Theft

PSA Zabarte spoke with a victim who responded to Ingleside Station regarding a theft.  The victim stated he returned home to find his garage door open and when he walked to the rear of the home found his bicycle missing.  There was no forced entry into the premise and the victim was unable to provide any further information.  Report 110837343

7:00pm                Chenery/Surrey                     Theft

A victim came to Ingleside station and told PSA Zabarte that she had locked and secured her vehicle and when she returned found various items missing.  She was unable to locate any sign of forced entry into the vehicle and does not know how the suspect made entry.  She only wanted the incident documented for insurance purposes.  Report 110836953

Tuesday October 18 – Nothing in the report from Glen Park

Wednesday October 19

10:00pm              1100 blk Bosworth       False Personation

Police Service Aide Heckenburg-Tognozzi was on duty when a victim came into Ingleside Station and filled a report of fraud. The victim told the PSA that she received a phone call from a company saying an unknown suspect had attempted to open a credit card account using the victims name, social security and date of birth. The victim informed the company she did not try to open an account, who in turn told the victim to file a police report. Report number 110842881

Thursday October 20

8:20pm                Diamond & Kern St                        Theft

Officers Duffin and Hart were flagged down regarding theft from a vehicle.  The victim discovered that a window on his vehicle had been smashed.  Several items were taken from inside.  Report 110848334

Friday October 21 – Nothing in the report from Glen Park

Saturday October 22

12:00pm              300 Blk Surrey St                   Graffiti

Sgt. Miller responded to a report of graffiti.  The victim showed the Sgt. fresh graffiti on her garage door that was approximately 6” tall.  Report 110853101

Sunday October 23 – Nothing in the report from Glen Park

Monday October 24 – Nothing in the report from Glen Park
