BART’s District 9 board seat, held for almost 20 years by Tom Radulovich, is up for grabs.
Radulovich has announced he will not seek re-election.
The seat covers BART’s 16th Street Mission, 24th Street Mission, Glen Park, Civic Center, and Powell Street stations, as well as a portion of the Balboa Park station.
At least three people have announced they intend to run for the office:
- Lisa Feldstein, former city planning commissioner.
- Bevan Dufty, former District 8 Supervisor
- Michael Petrels, AIDS activist.
The deadline for filing to enter the race is August. 17.
