GLEN PARK REAL ESTATE–November recap

December 7, 2024 by Amanda Martin

Happy Holidays! I’m so excited about all of the great things going on in Glen Park right now. The Burnside Steps were finally finished and they look AMAZING, and now Sirron Norris is working on a mural for Elk St. in front of Glen Canyon Park that will represent all of the great things in the park. And the project will include children in the neighborhood painting the images that Sirron has created. What a great idea! I think that having the mural at the entrance to the park will tie everything together and really beautify things! I’m so happy that Glen Park is full of so many community minded people who are putting so much energy towards improving things on a daily basis.

Thank you to all of those involved in these projects – from  Suzanne Ginsburg, to Renee Berger, to Sirron Norris, and all of the Glen Park residents that showed up at the community input meeting on Nov. 16th. Well done Glen Park!

Of course, all of this beautification helps to increase desirability of the neighborhood and in turn increases property values. Clearly Glen Park is on a trajectory for great things to come for a long time! The market is definitely starting to slow down for the holidays, but this is something you can set your clock to–so no surprise there.

I had a lovely listing at 24 Sussex St. that we were going to bring to market right before the election, but we were going to hold off due to uncertainties of the market. We had everything ready to go other than the staging–newly painted interior, refinished floors, Heath re-tiled fireplace, etc. My clients had a number in mind that they wanted and so we decided to just float it out off-market to see if they could get their number prior to next year and we happened to find the perfect buyer and just closed escrow on 12/3. Buyers are out there and they are serious. Sure, things will be slowing down through around mid-January, but I’m not going anywhere this holiday season. I have a feeling there will be some great opportunities out there.

Now, for the Glen Park Transactions/Listing for the month of November:

Here’s a look at what sold in the month of November–

Here’s a look at what’s currently in contract–

And lastly, the inventory that is currently available in Glen Park-
