GLEN PARK REAL ESTATE–August recap

September 13, 2023 by Amanda Martin

We are officially in the fall market! To add to the delay in bringing some properties on, we even had an unexpected real estate crisis earlier in August. The crisis we dealt with was not very widely reported, so you may not have heard about it, but the provider of our MLS (multiple listing service) […]

GLEN PARK REAL ESTATE–July recap

August 6, 2023 by Amanda Martin

Greetings Glen Park! We are nearing the end of the summer and there’s a lot of talk about what’s going to happen with inventory this coming fall. We have been stuck in a declining inventory pattern for quite some time, and this is primarily what is holding prices from falling further than they have during […]

GLEN PARK REAL ESTATE–June recap

July 9, 2023 by Amanda Martin

We are solidly in summer now and was that ever a hot pre-4th of July in the Bay Area! As a matter of fact, 4th of July saw the hottest average world temperature on the books. Lots of people are traveling, but we are seeing a good amount of renewed interest in the real estate […]

GLEN PARK REAL ESTATE–May Recap

June 8, 2023 by Amanda Martin

Greetings Glen Park! Though the weather continues to be confused (raining on June 6th!?), the days are getting longer and people are gearing up for summer vacations. This past Memorial Day weekend was one of the busiest driving holidays we’ve seen since before the pandemic. But what’s happening in the market? Buyers are being more […]

GLEN PARK REAL ESTATE — April Recap

May 9, 2023 by Amanda Martin

Well, we continue on with our somewhat confusing market. But is it any real surprise? With everything that is going on in the world it seems that there is just a lot of uncertainty out there and as is human nature, that uncertainty makes people look around to see what other people make of it, […]

GLEN PARK REAL ESTATE–March recap

April 8, 2023 by Amanda Martin

Greetings Glen Park! As I’m writing this and looking out my window it doesn’t really look much like spring. It’s raining outside and I still haven’t put away my winter jacket. So happy to see that the drought is something we don’t have to worry about at least for this year, but I think we […]

GLEN PARK REAL ESTATE–February recap

March 9, 2023 by Amanda Martin

We’ve made it past the shortest month of the year and are staring right into our busy spring real estate market. As expected, things are continuing to pick up with an increase of buyer interest and available inventory. That said, if we look at new inventory coming to market in February 2023 versus 2022, it’s […]

GLEN PARK REAL ESTATE–January Recap

February 20, 2023 by Amanda Martin

Hello Glen Park and Happy Mid-Wintertime! It sure has been rainy (needed) and cold (brrr). I even heard that next week it may snow! Would be fun to take another picture sitting at a picnic table in the backyard like I did in my childhood home in Noe Valley in 1976. Granted, I’ll look a […]

GLEN PARK REAL ESTATE–December Recap

January 13, 2023 by Amanda Martin

Happy New Year lovers of Glen Park! What a wet and wild entry we are having into this new year. Though copious amounts of rain are so welcome to keep the drought at bay, I know it’s been a bit of a disruptive deluge for many Glen Park residents. Having lived in a house on […]

GLEN PARK REAL ESTATE — November recap

December 13, 2022 by Amanda Martin

I just got back from my first real vacation since before the pandemic, and boy was that an adventure! I’ll spare you the details, but let me just say don’t get stuck taking a red-eye flight from an airport and town that closes down completely by 11pm. Any mishap will quickly become an epic disaster. Safe […]

GLEN PARK REAL ESTATE–October recap

November 11, 2022 by Amanda Martin

And just like that…it’s November! I often gauge the changing of the seasons going into the holidays by when eggnog arrives in the stores. Every year now it seems to be earlier and earlier. Last year it was Halloween. This year it was early October. Meanwhile, we are getting some rain and hoping that the […]

GLEN PARK REAL ESTATE–September recap

October 12, 2022 by Amanda Martin

Happy October! Such a great month in San Francisco :). The weather is beautiful, Halloween is always fun (especially in Glen Park!). But what of the real estate market? Well, as I’m sure you’ve heard all over the news, and seen with your own eyes, interest rates are up and there are fears of a […]

The much-awaited fall market is upon us! As anticipated, our inventory is increasing, and buyers are coming back out. GLEN PARK REAL ESTATE–July Recap

August 16, 2022 by Amanda Martin

As we move into the dog days of summer, things are moving at a slower pace in the world of real estate as well. For those of you who are concerned about a huge crash like we had in 2008—look at this pictograph as a helpful reminder that we do not have the same forces […]

GLEN PARK REAL ESTATE — June Recap

July 13, 2022 by Amanda Martin

With the 4th of July in the rearview mirror, we are now deep into summer and have a better idea of what this summer market is shaping up to look like. You’ll see some large overbids and great sales prices in the June numbers, and as always, there is still limited inventory in San Francisco. […]

GLEN PARK REAL ESTATE–May Recap

June 11, 2022 by Amanda Martin

Summer is upon us! Historically, summer tends to be a slower season in San Francisco in general for real estate sales. During the last couple of years of pandemic lockdown, we haven’t seen that pattern as much because people were not traveling, but rather, they were moving into larger or more accommodating living spaces. There […]

GLEN PARK REAL ESTATE — April Recap

May 21, 2022 by Amanda Martin

Happy May! I can’t believe another summer is almost upon us. Will things keep heating up, or will we see the lull that so many are anticipating due to it being the first summer in a long time where many people are planning on traveling? Personally, I’m not going anywhere this summer as I’ve got […]
