GREENWAY WORK PARTY— Saturday, June 6

May 24, 2026 by Nicholas Dewar, Greenway Project Volunteer Director

Please put Saturday, June 6 on your calendar for our next Work Party.

Spring has almost run its course and soon we’ll feel the earth hard and dry beneath our feet as the grasses turn to summer gold. There’s plenty for us to do to protect the Native Meadow from weeds and prepare the Oak Woodland for the summer. I hope that you’ll come and enjoy it all with us.

  • We’ll meet at 9am on Saturday, June 6 at the top of the Chilton Avenue cul-de-sac. The nearest house address is 88 Chilton Ave. We’ll have freshly brewed coffee waiting for you thanks to Andytown Coffee Roasters

  • At 12pm we’ll stop work and get together for sandwiches generously provided by Jamie Ennis Real Estate

Even if you can’t come for the entire morning, please come for an hour or two – and please try to join us for lunch.

If you’re planning to come to the Work Party please email me to tell me.

greenway@glenparkassociation.org

We’ll send you the sandwich menu so that you can pick one and we’ll have it ready for you at lunch time.

If you have any questions about our plans for the Work Party please reply to this email. I hope that you’ll be able to join the Party and look forward to working with you on Saturday, June 6.

See you on the Greenway!
