Urban Angels SF launched it’s 6th annual Backpacks of Love program on July 1st. From now to July 31st, we are seeking to raise $30,000 so that we can provide 1,000 underserved students in San Francisco with brand new, high-quality backpacks filled with new school supplies so they can start the school year next month with confidence and high self-esteem.
The recipients are mainly black and brown children who are either unhoused or come from families that are living at the poverty level here in San Francisco. These supplies are among the most basic necessities for students as they start the school year without which it will be very difficult for them to succeed.
