Glen Park’s Bosworth pedestrian bridge has been transformed! It is now a lovely sky blue complemented by gorgeous mosaics on its pillars inspired by Indigenous patterns.
This transformation and the landscaping improvements surrounding the bridge could not have happened without the hands-on mosaic work of students at the Glen Park School afterschool program, gardening volunteers, and the generous support of Glen Park residents. The project was organized by Glen Park Beautiful.
The celebration will be on Saturday, September 26th from 1pm-3pm at the Burnside mural/tiled steps (Burnside at Paradise Avenue).
Please make your reservation HERE and share the joy!
There will be:
- Live bluegrass music
- Face painting
- Food and refreshments
- Brief remarks from Supervisor Rafael Mandelman and DPW Director Carla Short (2 pm)
- A special appearance by mosaic artist Ross Holzman
- A first look at the bridge recognition sign, which will be unveiled at the event
The celebration is hosted by Glen Park Beautiful (fiscal sponsor Independent Arts & Media). We are grateful to the Civic Joy Fund for its support for this celebration.
