Join your neighbors on Saturday, November 7, to clear ivy on the Glen Park School side of the newly mosaicked Bosworth Pedestrian Bridge!
It’s hard to believe that just a year ago, when volunteers cleared ivy around the bridge pillars during District 8 Beautification Day, this public art project was still just a twinkle in our eyes. Today, thanks to the incredible support of our neighborhood, Glen Park School, and San Francisco Public Works, we can all enjoy the beautiful mosaic artwork of Ross Holzman.
This year, Glen Park Beautiful will once again be part of San Francisco Public Works’ District 8 Neighborhood Beautification Day. With the help of the SFPW crew, we’ll clear the remaining ivy on the school side of the bridge, then lay cardboard and mulch to discourage regrowth and prepare the area for native plantings.
And that’s where you come in!
Enjoy time with neighbors, make new friends, and help bring even more beauty to this special corner of Glen Park. No tools or experience needed. Children are welcome! SFPW will provide everything, including coffee to fuel your efforts and a boxed lunch to celebrate a job well done!
