Uptick in muggings, car thefts

October 28, 2012 by Elizabeth Weise

Hi All,

There has been an uptick in crime in Glen Park: two street robberies (with injuries), commercial district vandalism and home robberies. Unfortunately, car theft and theft from cars continues to be high.

There was Glen Park Association meeting Oct 18, the new Captain from Ingleside, Timothy Falvey, spoke at the meeting. This was before the muggings, he did talk about the vandalism, theft from cars etc. The next Glen Park Association meeting will be in January, which won’t help much. The next Ingleside Monthly Community meeting is at 7:00 PM on November 20, Ingleside Station, 1 Sgt. John V. Young Lane.

This meeting is a great opportunity to bring up issues with the Captain. I attend almost every month and bug the Captain about problems in Glen Park. However, it makes an impression when more people from the neighborhood attend.

Thanks,
Carolyn Deacy

Have you had a chance to meet Michelle and her beautiful butterfly and caterpillar garden? It’s on Elk Street between Paradise and Chenery! If you’re lucky to see Michelle outside ,she’ll point out the cute little caterpillars in the garden.
