April showers bring May flowers! Hopefully some more inventory too :). I do feel a little like a broken record with this inventory story, but it’s still an issue.
We currently have only six active listings (half of what we had last year at the same time), and it’s mid-April–the dead center of the spring market! Only three properties closed escrow in the month of March in Glen Park. There are seven properties pending, and three of those had been sitting for quite a while. I think Glen Park is just a little too wonderful and cool, and no one wants to leave.
Maybe the new townhomes proposed can give some more folks a chance to live in this beautiful neighborhood. I think the townhomes would be a great addition to the Glen Park and are well suited to the City’s transit-first goals.
I’m going to keep it short this month but will dig a little more into the numbers next month.
